About the accommodation

Amalia is a simple, traditionally-furnished beachside apartment with direct access to a safe, sandy beach and a shady veranda overlooking the garden amongst the pine trees on the slope of Lepeda hill.

You approach this special home on foot, leaving the quiet road and walking the last 70m along the sandy beach. It is one of a handful of small properties in this unique location where the residents park at the edge of the beach and stroll along the sand to reach their front door.

During your stay you will step out of your home and onto Lepeda beach. Watch the sun rise over Kefalonia’s majestic mountains, spend your days on the sheltered, child-friendly sand, or stroll to Lixouri town for your morning coffee. Perfect for a family with young children, the house provides a perfect base. Refresh yourself with a dip in the sea or in the natural swimming pool between the rocks at the edge of the beach, enjoy an ouzo and mezze at the taverna at the end of the beach, or choose a traditional souvlaki at the grill-house a two-minute walk away. And if you prefer to cook for yourself, you’re welcome to pick vegetables for your salad from the garden at the rear of the property, where you can also enjoy the quiet shade of the private garden veranda.

Amalia is one of three apartments in this building and is situated on the ground floor, along with its sister property, Jerasimo. These properties can also be rented together, for a bigger family or up to 8 friends. Accommodation comprises one bedroom with 1 king-sized bed (convertible to 2 singles), a sitting room with 2 single beds, a comfortable, fully-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. There is a shared laundry area to the rear of the property.

Please note, due to the approach to the house being on the sand, you may wish to pack luggage that doesn’t rely on wheels.
