Sip a coffee in the Platia with a locally-made ice-cream, enjoy some of the best restaurants and nightlife on the island, browse the many boutiques, or (if you must), hop on the ferry that shuttles back and forth to Argostoli, well into the night in the summer season. Lixouri has all the amenities you would expect in a town; pharmacies, medical centres, banks,etc.

Some of the best-known beaches on the island are within a 30 minute drive of our houses; Petani, Atheras, Xi, Megas Lakos and Lepeda, to name just a few. Find quiet coves for relaxing, exciting watersports, dramatic waves, and clear pools for snorkeling. Some are accessible only by boat - this makes a wonderful day out!

In addition to Lixouri, there are many places to eat in the area, with excellent restaurants dotted around the mountain villages or coastal areas. Try the local delicacies, washed down with wine from one of the numerous local wineries. Some of our favourites are listed in the guide you will receive.

Surrounded by water in all directions, the peninsula is perfect for exploring by boat. You’ll find opportunities for fishing tours, kayaking, play on SUPs, water-skiing and diving. And for those who prefer to be in fresh water, we even have a waterpark!

Climb into the cooler mountain areas, explore the rugged coastline with the unforgettable views from Kipouria Monastery, or visit the diverse area of Livadi; paradise for bird-watchers. Some of the best beaches are accessible by foot or boat only - a real treat when you reach the end of the path!
