About the accommodation Walking under the contemporary archway to enter the Akrotiri complex, you’re immediately struck by the long pool stretching in front of you towards the Ionian Sea in the distance. A wide walkway separates the first two suites on either side of you as you make your way down the gently-sloping steps towards the large terrace and pool, surrounded by comfortable sun loungers. At the far end you’ll find the third building, housing three individual suites. The entire complex is surrounded by tall mature trees, providing plenty of shade and dappled sunshine. The large pool (65 sq m) is a contemporary rectangular shape, surrounded by a flat paved terrace furnished with comfortable sun loungers. An outdoor shower is available to rinse off after swimming or from days at the beach! This set of suites can be rented individually or all together, providing flexibility and privacy if travelling in a large group. It is perfect for a group of families or friends. Come together by the poolside or one of the many outside seating areas, while having the flexibility to retreat into your own space for quiet and privacy. The Akrotiri Suites are in a special part of the Paliki peninsula. From the accommodation (all within 1km) you can walk to 3 quiet beaches and various local tavernas. A local hotel, again within 1km, has a set of waterslides which are open to the public - a great day out for the children! The bustling port of Lixouri is about a 10-minute drive, where you’ll find shops, restaurants and the ferry to Argostoli which you can use either by foot, or with a car. Akti (the shore in Greek) is a 35-square-metre ground floor studio suite located close to the entrance of the property. The property comprises an L-shaped living space with the sleeping area tucked around a corner. A well-equipped kitchen area is situated at the rear of the studio and there is a separate bathroom with walk-in shower. The sofa can be converted to a single bed for an additional person. Sliding doors open onto a private patio and dining area, complete with an outdoor sitting area. Reach the pool and the rest of the property down a gently sloping set of steps through mature trees.
Kymata (the waves in Greek) is a 45-square-metre, ground floor 1-bedroom suite situated directly across the path from Akti. A simple and well-planned space, Kymata is fully accessible for guests with special accessibility requirements or wheelchairs and has the addition of a sloping path suitable for wheelchairs to reach the pool terrace. The separate bedroom contains a queen-sized bed while the sofa in the sitting area can be converted to 2 joined single beds to accommodate 2 other people. There is a well-equipped kitchen area and sliding doors open to a private shady veranda for outside dining and relaxing. Please note: the pool does not have a sloped entrance or at this point an accessible lift for wheelchair users. Three further suites are located in a separate building to the rear of the property next to the pool.
Faros (the Lighthouse) is a 51-square metre, ground floor suite situated at the rear of the property level to the terrace and swimming pool. This generous space comprises an open-plan living and modern kitchen area with a breakfast bar. Just off this area is a light-filled separate queen-size bedroom with sliding doors to an outside terrace. There is a modern and well-equipped bathroom with walk in shower. The sitting area comprises a sofa that can be converted to one single bed. Outside the property is a private terrace area with comfortable sofas for relaxing, and a dining area.
Anemos (the Wind) is a 35-square metre studio suite situated on the first floor of the building to the rear of the property. It comprises an open-plan living space with a kitchen area separated from the sleeping space by a breakfast bar. A sofa in the sitting area can be converted to a single bed for an additional guest. Sliding doors open to a balcony terrace, offering a dining area and sofa where you can enjoy the views across the olive trees towards the sea beyond.
Pelagos (the Sea) is a 35-square metre suite on the ground floor of the building to the rear of the property. You enter to the kitchen and sitting area which has sliding doors opening to an outdoor terrace for dining and relaxing. The bedroom, containing 2 single beds which can be separated or placed close together, has sliding doors to a further outdoor area. The shower room is tucked to the side of the bedroom, with the WC a separate room behind a door.
